Origin of GSMT

Founder member of Gramin Samassya Mukti Trust, Dr. Kishor Moghe (MD in Homoeopathic medicine) graduated at Antarbharti Homoeopathic Medical College and worked at a voluntary organization in Amravati district of Maharashtra named Apeksha Homoeo Society. During that period he gained interest and motivation to work for a social cause. He decided to work for the tribal people in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra.

After thorough study on the field of social and development sector, he took the decision to work for the disadvantaged and marginalized people for their sustainable development. Thus he decided to form a committee of likeminded and committed friends, dedicated to work for the social cause. Post discussion on socio-economic issues in rural and tribal areas, friends assured to support for the cause and for sustainable development of the rural tribal community. In a meeting held at Jalka village in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra, there was a detailed discussion on the situation of rural tribal area, their needs and scope of work among the members of a newly formed committee. All members decided to work on the various issues of rural poor people.  As the members decided to work and resolve the various issues of underprivileged and disadvantaged rural poor, the organization was named ‘Gramin Samassya Mukti Trust’ (Rural Issues Resolving Trust).
