Community Health & Nutrition
The GSMT focus on interventions on community health is targeted towards building the capacities of community-based organizations to encourage the community to be healthy through safe behaviour and enjoy a safe lifestyle.
A healthy community is a foundation for achieving all other goals and for development in the true sense. Often, good healthy life and sanitation are taken for granted by people. Especially in rural and tribal areas, people tend to neglect this most important aspect of life.
The interventions carried out by GSMT are broadly classified into the following areas:
- Healthy lifestyles
- Reproductive health
- Community-based rehabilitation of PWDs
- Water and sanitation
- Disease treatment & prevention.
